Levain debuts New York City’s cookie obsession in an OC exclusive.
Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside. Cookie enthusiasts everywhere know the signature ratio that built Levain Bakery. The New York institution behind the famous six-ounce cookies opened its first Orange County location at Fashion Island this summer.

Co-founders Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald originally conceived the recipe as post-triathlon fuel before opening their Upper West Side shop in 1995. “Levain in Newport Beach feels like the next natural step and we can't wait to open our doors at Fashion Island,” says the founders. Located near Macy's and Sushi Roku, the Newport Beach café serves artisan breads, sandwiches, muffins, and pastries, alongside full barista service featuring cold-foam drinks, matcha, and the viral Cookie Milk Latte.
