Since 1969, this palm-shaded lagoon has served as both tranquil hideaway and joyful backdrop of photographic moments. The 20,000-gallon oasis was dreamt up by California Mid-Century Modern visionary John F. Galbraith as an immersion of nature and architecture. About 90 colorful koi, spanning a dozen varieties, glide beneath the surface, drawing guests in for a quiet pause between shopping excursions. Peaceful and reflective, it remains our most zen experience.
